Service Description

The aim of the workshop is to educate students about the work of their local court. Students will engage in an interactive ‘mock trial’, helping them to develop their understanding of the legal system in an age-appropriate way.

Pupils will sit in a model court, hear the case that their peers present, and make their decision as to sentence. They will engage in their own decision-making using guidance supplied.

Pre-set guidance, role allocation and scripts are supplied electronically. This includes questions and answers, and a court room layout for the classroom. Materials will be provided on the day.

Sessions are 60 to 90 minutes in duration and are delivered in the classroom.
