Outcomes

This workshop will enable students to:

  • Understand the steps to begin driving legally
  • Recognise the importance of vehicle insurance
  • Identify key responsibilities of safe driving
  • Understand the ‘Fatal Four’ driving behaviours
Service Description

All sessions are delivered face-to-face, to both class groups and, or whole year groups, dependent on the session. 

There is an option of teacher-led resource that can be provided in the event that the provider has no presenter availability.

This lesson provides practical information such as:

  • applying for a provisional licence
  • taking the theory test
  • insuring a vehicle
  • the session is designed to support students at the start of their driving career to assist in becoming responsible, safe and legal drivers
  • students are encouraged to be safe drivers through practical advice and discussion of the 'fatal four' (speeding, drink/drug driving, mobile phone use, and not wearing a seatbelt) and understand their impact on road safety.
Availability

This workshop is available to Year 12 and 13 students across Lincolnshire. Workshops can be taught in groups of up to 30 children or in year assemblies. Each session will run for 60 minutes.Please contact to discuss availability.
