Outcomes

This workshop will enable students to:

  • stay safe at home, including around electrical items, and understand the dangers of matches and lighters.
  •  know how to raise the alarm, call 999, and explain what to say in an emergency.
  • describe the role of the fire service in keeping people safe.
  • share fire safety knowledge confidently with others at home.
Service Description

Hands-on workshops for Year 2 children that focus on protection, detection, and escape in fire safety. The skills and knowledge gained can support children throughout their lives. Schools offering this programme show a strong commitment to pupils’ learning and development both in and beyond the classroom, encouraging access to new information that builds knowledge, understanding, and practical life skills through engaging, real-world experiences.

Availability

This workshop is available to all year 2 students across Lincolnshire. The sessions are either a morning or afternoon during school term time. Please contact to discuss availability.
