Decision

The request appears to be about permissions required to use drones on Lincolnshire County Council land for recreational purposes. We are unable to locate information related to local bylaws in relation to drones. We would consider giving permission and have done in the past, for the use of a drone on our land.

Ultimately and in the absence of bylaws, we expect an individual or organisation using a drone for recreational use to abide by The Air Navigation Order 2016 and consider the Drone and Model Aircraft Code issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, including where we have given permission.

We do use our own drones for the purpose of surveys and we have published our own policy for this found here https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/council-councillors/surveillance-camerasystem-policy
