Direct payments for adults and children - 2022 to 2023 - Find a freedom of information request

Could you please tell me the number of:

1. Adults who are in receipt of direct payments who are under health and social care (18 - 85+)?

2. Children who are in receipt of direct payments who are under health and social care (17 and under)?

This requested information is for the period of 2022/2023.

Could I please also ask for the date (date range) at which this data was last collected?

1. From 2022/2023 Short and Long Term (SALT) statutory return

Adults in receipt of a Direct payment 01/04/2022 to 31/03/2023

18-64: Direct Payment only - 1311

Part Direct Payment - 328

65 and over:

Direct Payment only - 635

Part Direct Payment - 122

This data is collected annually - the 2023/2024 SALT return is currently being prepared for submission in May 2024.

2. 138 children in receipt of direct payments at 31 March 2023.
