I can confirm that some of the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council.
1) 108 Community Schools and Voluntary Controlled Schools are known to contain asbestos.
This number only represents those schools where LCC retain responsibility for managing asbestos.
There are 158 other LCC properties which are known to contain asbestos.
These include 20 Libraries and no hospitals. Any buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000 may contain asbestos. If the asbestos containing material (ACM) is in good condition, there is negligible risk to health.
Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) manages asbestos in all its properties in accordance with the requirements of all relevant health & safety legislation and guidance.
The condition of all known ACM’s present in LCC’s Community Schools and Voluntary Controlled Schools is monitored on a regular basis and any advised remedial action carried out when required.
