Children home educated 2013, 2014, 2023 and 2024 - Find a freedom of information request

1. For each academic year including and between 2013/2014 and 2023/2024 - how many children were registered with your council as being home educated?



(if required you may exclude the data for years 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 due to data anomalies caused by the COVID 19 Pandemic)



2. For each academic year including and between 2013/2014 - how many children were registered with your council as being home educated are flagged as having disabilities or SEN needs



(If required you may exclude data for years 2019/2020 and 2021/2021 due to data anomalies caused by the COVID 19 pandemic)



3. For each academic year, including and between 2013/2014 and 2023/2024 - what were the reasons given by parents notifying the council of their decision to home educate as to why they were opting to home educate their children, and the numbers for each reason



For example if there were 32 parents who cited bullying as a reason, or 52 who cited mental health or 100 that did it for philosophical reasons, please do cite both the reasons, and the number of parents

Under the terms of the act, I require the information I requested within twenty working days, and no later than the 1st December 2024.
