Nuclear waste sites - Find a freedom of information request

1) Can you provide the following in GIS format? These will provide valuable information for Nuclear Waste Services in relation to a project that is being undertaken in the area.



a) Lincolnshire Mineral Safeguarding Areas

b) Lincolnshire Site Specific Mineral Safeguarding Area for Existing Minerals Sites

c) Lincolnshire Site Specific Mineral Safeguarding Area for Allocated Minerals Sites

d) Lincolnshire Existing Mineral Sites

e) Lincolnshire Preferred Mineral Sites

f) Lincolnshire Existing Waste Sites

Please see below information regarding the attached GIS Shape files.

• Mineral Safeguarding Areas - (layers for Limestone, Sand and Gravel, Blown Sand, Lincoln Stone)
• Existing Mineral Sites - this layer has not been updated since the plan was adopted, so doesn’t include any pp’s granted since for new sites/extensions. Please see Lincolnshire County Council's planning register re for more recent permissions or Lincolnshire County Council's Local Aggregate Assessments
• Site specific safeguarding areas for existing minerals sites
• Existing Waste Sites - this layer has not been updated since the plan was adopted, so doesn’t include any pp’s granted since for new sites/extensions.  Please see Lincolnshire County Council's planning register re for more recent permissions or Lincolnshire County Council's Waste Needs Assessment
• Mineral Sites Allocations
• Site specific safeguarding areas around allocated minerals sites
• Waste Areas Allocations
• Waste Site Allocation

At the moment Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) do not have any layers that can be shared in relation to the emerging update to the MWLP.  

In terms of policies in the current adopted MWLP that apply to the above layers;

- M11 relates to safeguarding mineral resources.

- M12 relates to safeguarding existing mineral sites/infrastructure

- W8 relates to safeguarding existing and allocated waste management facilities.

- SL2 relates to safeguarding allocated mineral sites.

- SL1 relates to mineral allocations

- SL3 relates to waste allocations
