Illegal vaping products seized 2024 - Find a freedom of information request

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information for the period 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024:



1) How many illegal disposable vapes, e-cigarettes, or e-liquids were seized?

2) How many cases were identified where a business was found to be stocking or in possession of illegal vaping products?

3) How many illegal nicotine pouches were seized?

4) How many fines were issued in total related to the above cases?

5) What is the total monetary value of all fines issued?
 

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

2. 63 seizures from 51 Premises

4. Lincolnshire Trading Standards do not issue fines to businesses distributing non compliant vapes, such as on the spot penalty notices.  Fines would be issued through criminal cases taken through the courts by Lincolnshire Trading Standards.  As such, cases can take a long time to reach an outcome at court, not all cases will have concluded and so the below does not always relate to the year the product was seized.
