Cannon Street, Louth - Find a freedom of information request

We have received details of a claim against our client Anglian Water Services Ltd relating to an accident in an area which forms part of your area of responsibility.

Suffered personal injury on 07.10.2024 along Cannon Street, Louth, nearing the junction with Broadbank and Northgate.

We would be grateful if you could let us have copies of inspection records for the area in question for 12 months up to the date of the incident, details of any previous accidents and/or complaints in the area and details of work carried out by statutory undertakers in the area.

1) Records of inspection for the relevant stretch of highway including confirmation of the frequency and type of inspection carried out.

2) Maintenance records including records of independent contractors working in relevant area.

3) Records of the minutes of Highway Authority meetings where maintenance or repair policy has been discussed or decided.

4) Records of complaints about the state of highways.

5) Records of other accidents which have occurred on the relevant stretch of highway.

6) Records of all works carried out by contractors in the relevant stretch of highway.

7) Any S81 notices served on our client during this time period for the relevant stretch of highway.

4) Complaints are not recorded on location so it would take longer than 18hrs to find and collate the information.

Section 12(1) of the Freedom of Information 2000 does not oblige a public authority to comply with a request for information if the authority estimates that the cost of complying with the request would exceed the appropriate limit. The appropriate limit is currently £450 or 18 hours at a cost of £25 per hour. The exemption under section 12 is not subject to the public interest test Any refined request will be treated as a new request under the Freedom of Information Act

6) GS203 4633480202410060000 - Highway Response (Out of Hrs) - A metal drain cover has become loose and is causing a trip hazard (Enquiry 2819951). The job was completed on 6th of Oct 2024.

7) No S81s have been raised on this street
