Flood History Information - Find a freedom of information request

1. Please could I request any flood history information for Tanvats, LN4 3AL

I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.  
 
 After reviewing our records, I can confirm that, in our capacity as Lead Local Flood Authority, Lincolnshire County Council has not been made aware of any reports of flooding at Tanvats, LN4 3AL. Having said that I cannot definitively confirm or deny whether the location in question has never been affected by flooding as not every instance is reported to the Council. Given the location, it is recommended that the requestee considers contacting the Environment Agency who may potentially hold additional information regarding historic flooding. 

With regards the future risk of flooding of the area, I would, in the first instance, recommend that the requestee reviews the information that is publicly available via the Long Term Flood Risk Service https://www.gov.uk/check-long-term-flood-risk. Note, that this service identifies the risk of flooding to an area and not a particular property and as such should be used as an indicative guide. Following review of this information should the requestee have further questions regarding the risk of flooding from surface water then I would advise that they get in contact with the Floods and Water team via email at FloodRisk@lincolnshire.gov.uk .
