Unauthorised absence fines in the East Lindsey district council area - Find a freedom of information request

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: How many penalty fines have been issued to parents in relation to schools in the East Lindsey district council area for unauthorised absence during the period 01st Sept 2024 and to date -31st Jan 2025.

I would like this information broken down into -

1. How many fines per school in that area

2 How many days off the child in each case had been taken out of school for

3. How many periods of absence of 5 days or more were reported to Lincolnshire County Council by Banovallum School Horncastle during these dates

4. How many reports of children being unauthorised as absent for 5 days or more were dealt with by informal resolution (no penalty notice issued) by Banovallum School, Horncastle.

5) Who makes the decision for the Lincolnshire County Council to be informed of a child's absence from school at each school.

6) Is there a minimum number of days of unauthorised absence a child can have before the LCC are notified by the school.

7) How many children at Banovallum School in Horncastle have had a period of unauthorised absence of 5 days or more during the period 01.09.2024 - 31.01.2025 and the outcome for these cases, i.e penalty notice or informal resolution.

2. For holidays, a minimum of 5 days, 10 sessions within 10 weeks. For persistent absence, a minimum of 5 days of unauthorised absence within 10 weeks.

5. All schools in Lincolnshire share their attendance data with Lincolnshire County Council in line with the Department of Education, Working Together to improve school attendance guidance, May 2022.

6. Schools can discuss all levels of pupil absenteeism with the Local Authority, at any point when attendance becomes a concern. 10 or more consecutive days of unauthorised absence, will trigger a formal notification to the Local Authority
