Funeral directors businesses contracted to the Lincolnshire coroner service for transfer of deceased persons - Find a freedom of information request

Request

This application is for information for the period 1st January 2024 to 31st January 2025.

1. A list of all funeral directors businesses contracted to the Lincolnshire coroner service for transfer of deceased persons.

2. A copy of all application documents completed by each funeral director contracted to the coroner service for the removal of deceased persons on their behalf.

3. The documents requested are to fully state the terms, conditions, agreements and restrictions the funeral director accepted when applying for the contract. The information to include all financial terms and conditions.

4. A copy of any subsequent information, instructions, clarifications and warnings, issued to funeral directors under their contracted agreement.

5. A blank copy of the Greater Lincolnshire Coroners (sic) Service Information Leaflet that is left with families by contracted funeral directors at the time of the transfer of a deceased person.

6. The name and details of the company involved in the procurement process who give prospective contractees initial terms and conditions.

7. The name of all persons transferred by each funeral director service under their contract, including the name of the funeral director and date of transfer.

1. All contracted providers are published on the Contracts Register. This information is publicly available on the Contracts Register, which can be accessed at https://procontract.duenorth.com/ You will need to register to access the site, but this is free to complete

7. The Council’s decision on this question is that it does not hold this information.

The contract between the Council and a funeral director is for the purposes of transferring the deceased whose deaths are referred for investigation by the Coroner.

The Coroner is not an authority for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act and therefore they are not required to disclose this information.
