(Revocation of mandatory cycle lane) revocation order

Notice of intention to convert a footway into a shared cycle track and footway 

To remove part of the mandatory cycle lane on Boston Road on both sides of the carriageway from a point 53 metres east of its junction with St Giles Avenue in an easterly direction for its remaining length.

Under sections 65(1) and 66(4) of the Highways Act 1988, a shared use facility will be installed on the northern carriageway between the link footway adjacent to the police station and The Hoplands. The Cycletracks Act 1984 will apply to this length should the proposal be confirmed and will be distinguished by special signs and markings. A new pedestrian refuge will also be installed in the vicinity.
