Suppliers with B Corp Certification

I'd like to make a freedom of information request on behalf of a client for the below information.

1. What percentage of your current suppliers possess B Corp certification, ESGmark or a similar certification or award that recognises a commitment to ESG or sustainability-focused initiatives?

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

By suppliers, we're referring to a 'council supplier' - any company or individual that provides goods, services, or works to a local government council.

There may be certain suppliers who have been recognised for their commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) by:

* achieving B-Corp accreditation (a comprehensive and rigorous process, requiring them to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability)

* gaining a ESGmark (awarded to organisations, irrespective of size, which prove they are committed to making a positive difference to the environment, their clients, employees and communities)

* receiving another type of sustainable/environment certification or award

The FOI request refers to how councils choose who they tender work to/choose as their suppliers and whether having a B-Corp certification, ESGmark or a similar certification plays a part in that decision making processes. For example, are those organisations prioritised in the tender proces
