I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please provide the following details related to Elective Home Education (EHE) within your local authority:



1. Staffing

a) The number of staff members working only within the Elective Home Education (EHE) department.

b) The name of the department that handles EHE in your local authority.

c) The job title of the lead person in the EHE department.

d) The contact details (name, email and phone number) of the lead person in the EHE department.



2. EHE Student Numbers

The number of children known to your authority as being electively home educated for each of the last five years (yearly breakdown).



3. Notices Issued Under Section 437(1) of the Education Act 1996

The number of notices served in relation to EHE children for each of the last five years (yearly breakdown).



4. School Attendance Orders (SAOs)

a) The number of SAOs served in relation to EHE children in the last five years (yearly breakdown).

b) The number of SAOs served in relation to EHE children that were revoked within the same period.



5. EHE Contact Information

a) A current generic email address, postal address, and telephone number that home educators should use to contact the EHE team or submit information.

b) Confirmation of whether these contact details have changed within the last five years and, if so, the dates of any updates.
