Funding Early Years Settings

This request is in regards to funding early years settings have received from the council for children with special educational needs (SEND). It is for pre-schools and nurseries.


1. Please could you state the total amount of money you have had available to give to settings each year for supporting SEND children. Please provide the data for the past 10 years and what the figure was and how much you provided to settings.

2. Please can you also state how many settings each year have requested additional funding.



Which budget(s) are you referring to? There are multiple budgets related to SEN support in the early years: Inclusion, EHCP, Disability Access Fund etc


Please can you provide a figure for all of the budgets so there is one total sum. This is just for pres-schools and nurseries.


What age range(s) does your request cover?


Age from 2 to 5.


What types of settings does you request cover? The email says nurseries and pre-schools. What about childminders and other types of providers offering SEN support through the Early Years Entitlements?
