Fire Door Inspections - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1. Does the council currently have a formal contract in place for fire door inspections across:

a) its housing stock (including general needs and supported housing); and

b) its corporate estate (e.g. offices, schools, libraries, leisure centres)?



2. If a contract is in place:

a) What is the name of the supplier or suppliers appointed to deliver fire door inspections?

b) What is the scope of the contract? (e.g. number of properties, estimated number of doors, property types covered)

c) What is the contract duration, including start and end dates and any extension options?

d) What is the pricing structure - including the current rate per door inspection?

e) Was this contract awarded via a framework or dynamic purchasing system? If so, which one?



3. If no contract is in place:

a) Are there any plans to tender for a formal fire door inspection contract within the next 12 months?

Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. 

 

 1a-b. Yes - one property contract with VINCI FACILITIES and they sub contract this work out.

 

2a. Freedom Fire are the sub contractor that VINCI use for this contract 

b. Approximately 500 properties- all LCC properties covered under the contract such as Fire stations, Children’s Centres, libraries, residential properties etc. The number of doors is ot recorded.

c. Start date 1 April 2025, 5 year contract with option to extend to 10 years  

d. Lincolnshire County Council cannot provide this information as it is commercially sensitive.
