Archives and Registrar electronic Document Management System - Find a freedom of information request

Request

1. I would like to ask what electronic document management system your institution use?

2. How long do you use this system?

3. Is it possible to estimate how much it costs to maintain the system on an annual basis?

I'm interested especially in the office/registrar and record office/archives.

Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. 

 

Registrar

 

1. All registration records are kept in paper format, although more recently the Registration Online system provides an electronic copy of the registration record.

 

2. The Registration Online system has been in use since 2007

 

3. No - the system is maintained by the General Register Office.

 

Archives

 

1-3. Please accept a nil return for the Culture Service on the request below, in that in terms of Electronic Data Management Systems Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) only use corporate platforms i.e. Sharepoint and County Council networks/ servers for document storage. We do not have a separate or dedicated EDMS within the service.
