First aid at work, emergency first aid at work, paediatric first aid, moving and handling courses for all staff

Overview

Various first aid workshops to enable staff to help colleagues, students and members of the public.

The workshops provide the following:

  • staff will be trained with the skills and knowledge to give them the confidence to help fellow colleagues, students and the general public in medical emergency
  • staff will be equipped with a nationally recognised first aid qualification
  • employers will ensure they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training

LIVES can provide the following courses:

  • QA level 3 award in emergency first aid at work (efaw) (one day)
  • QA level 3 award in first aid at work (faw) (three days)
  • QA level 3 award in emergency paediatric first aid (one day)
  • QA level 3 award in paediatric first aid (rqf) (two days)
  • QA level 3 award in combined emergency first aid at work and emergency paediatric first aid (one day)
  • QA level 3 award in combined first aid at work and paediatric first aid (three days)
  • Basic life support (bls) including cpr and aed (half day)
  • Basic life support (bls) and management of anaphylaxis (half day)
  • Mental health awareness (half day)
  • Mental health first aid (two days)
  • Moving and handling courses (half day)
  • Moving and handling courses (one or two days)

We deliver accredited courses regulated by our awarding bodies that meet national and international standards which:
  • increase confidence and competence to make positive decisions in a medical emergency
  • provide essential knowledge and life skills that raise the capacity of an individual to save a life and therefore the wider community
Availability

Courses can be delivered onsite for a minimum of six and maximum of 12 candiates. Alternatively, staff can book onto courses we deliver in various venues across Lincolnshire. Four to six weeks' notice is required. Contact training@lives.org.uk.
