DASH checklist - Find a freedom of information request

Request

I am writing to request the following under the Freedom of Information Act, regarding use of and provision for the DASH checklist, aka Domestic Abuse, Stalking and Honour Based Violence

1.     Is the DASH RIC used by your organisation as part of services (e.g. domestic abuse provision, victim support)?

2.     Is the use of DASH RIC a standard provision or a requirement in contracts with third-party providers of relevant services (e.g. domestic abuse services, sheltered housing)?

3.     If the DASH checklist is used by your organisation, which organisation or organisations provide the training that includes DASH training? (e.g. Domestic Abuse Matters training)

4.     What is the cost to your organisation of such training? Please break this down by financial year over the last five years, as well as by organisation (if more than one organisation provides the relevant

training)

If the answer to any of the above is more complicated than a 'yes/no', please provide a short explanation.

Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1. No, Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Partnership (LDAP) do not provide the services direct, LDAP commission services who complete the DASH with those experiencing domestic abuse.

2. The use of DASH is an expected provision as it is a national risk assessment. It is detailed in multi agency agreements when a disclosure of domestic abuse is given/suspected to gain more understanding of the risks they are experiencing, a DASH should be completed by partners. Commissioned services are expected to use DASH risk assessments and a completed DASH is part of the referral criteria into commissioned services.

3. LDAP provide training on DASH to partner agencies through the Domestic Abuse Trainer who works full time as a trainer delivering DASH and producing and delivering other domestic abuse packages. LDAP currently have 10 training packages on various areas of domestic abuse.

4. In the years 2020-2022 external trainers were hired to deliver a variety of domestic abuse training, however, DASH training is an online eLearning and had no cost to those completing the training.

In 2022 we employed a DA Trainer who manages all of the online domestic abuse eLearning, develops further packages and these can include delivering face to face domestic abuse training. Should agencies request face to face DASH training this is completed free of charge.
