Please could you provide the following information for the whole of Lincolnshire:
1. Under what circumstances would a 'beware of horses' sign, on a residential road be required?
2. Please clarify, on a road where there are no speed signs but there are street lights, what should the speed limit be?
3. Please clarify under what circumstances would a 'no access for HGV's' sign be required on a road?
4. Please clarify under what circumstances would a 'pedestrians in the road' sign be required? Please explain in as much detail the criteria for this (for example, number of residents, number of RTC's, etc).

1. Sign Diagram No. 550.1 warns of ‘accompanied horses or ponies likely to be in the road ahead’ and can be considered where horses are frequently walked or ridden along or cross over the road. In Lincolnshire accompanied horses is classed as a rural hazard with warning signs generally considered on roads that have high traffic volumes and a derestricted speed limit.
2. 30 miles per hour.
3. Where there is a Traffic Regulation Order.
4. Sign Diagram No. 544.1 warns of ‘pedestrians in road ahead’ and can be considered where pedestrians frequently use a road without proper footways.
