I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) . I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.
1. Please see attached table.
2. * Please see attached table
3. LCC do not record the cost of individual pothole repairs. LCC follows a risk-based approach to pothole repairs as set out in our Highways Asset Management Strategy which requires repairs to be carried out at differing response times depending on the risk to the public.
Each of these repair times has a separate price and the number of repairs in each category can vary greatly. It is not possible to give exact expenditure as LCC operates a complete reactive service and costs are not separated into carriageway pothole repairs only.
4-5.
Year Number of claims Damages
2020 1663 £207,121.86
2021 2191 £150,713.26
2022 1304 £60,785.68
2023 1726 £68,954.09
2024 1523 £59,518.22
2025 424 £26,268.11 to date
*Please note that these are the number of pothole repairs captured within our Asset Management System for potholes reported and delivered in response to an enquiry from a member of the public or from an inspection by an LCC officer on a one to one basis. The actual number of potholes repaired will be higher than this figure as surfacing patches and larger surfacing schemes will also deal with pothole repairs but this data is not captured on a one to one basis.
