Reported Potholes Awaiting Repair

I am after information relating to the number of potholes in your jurisdiction.

In particular, are you able to provide me with:



a) As of 1 June 2025, how many reported potholes in your local authority area were awaiting repair (i.e. logged but not yet filled)? Please provide the most up to date figure. 



b) How many miles of road in your jurisdiction are currently listed as GREEN, AMBER or RED in line with the RCI Index? Please provide the latest data you have in miles.    

                                                               

c) Based on current repair rates and available resources, what is your estimated timescale to clear the entire backlog of reported but unrepaired potholes as of 30th June 2025? Please provide an answer in months or years.                                                 



d) If your database works under a Fiscal Year calendar, please provide figures to the corresponding fiscal years. Please provide the data for each year.
 

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. 

1a. The number of potholes which have been confirmed for repair and raised with our operational teams but have not yet been completed, at the end of the week 06/06/2025, was 2205. 

b. The attached spreadsheet gives the data for the last 5 years.

c. During the week ending 29/06/25, the gangs completed around 2600 repairs suggesting that the repairs could be undertaken within a week. However, this would obviously not take into account any enquiries coming from the public or those repairs being raised by officers following inspections.
