Unregistered Alternative Provisions List

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request information regarding unregistered alternative provisions commissioned by your authority.



Information Requested:



1. List of Unregistered Alternative Provisions Please provide a complete list of all unregistered alternative provision settings that your authority has commissioned, arranged, or approved for use in the last 12 months from date of this request. For each provision, please include:



Name of the provider/setting

Address/location of provision

Type of provision offered (e.g., vocational training, therapeutic support, outdoor education) Whether the provision is part-time or full-time



2. Pupil Numbers

Please provide the total number of children of compulsory school age who have been educated in these unregistered alternative provisions during the above period, broken down by:



Current placements (as of [current date]) Total placements made during the last 12 months Average duration of placements where available



3. Financial Information

Please provide details of the costs associated with these placements:



Total expenditure on each provider during the specified period Grand total expenditure across all unregistered alternative provisions



4. Travel Cost Confirmation

Please confirm whether the financial figures provided in response to point 3 above include Transport/travel costs for pupils



5. Proprietor Contact Information

Where it does not contravene the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018, please provide the business email addresses for the proprietors or designated contacts for each unregistered alternative provision listed.
 

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. 

 1. You can find all of the Council's contracts for Alternative Provision publicly available on the ProActis website - https://procontract.due-north.com/Login. If you select 'Contracts' from the menu and then 'Contracts Register' and then 'View Register' you can export the Contracts Register for Lincolnshire County Council using the available filter and then filter the downloaded Excel document by Department for 'Children's Commissioning' and find the Alternative Provision providers.

2. Current placements =99
Total placements made during the last 12 months = 214
Looking at average placement length will take us above 18hrs as we'll need to look across multiple workbooks across multiple years to determine average length for each Pupil individually we cannot therefore provide this information.

3. Total expenditure across all unregistered alternative provisions is £3,274,053

4. Where the provider is transporting Pupils from one site to another the cost of transport is included; where eligible, Pupils are transported to the base provision at the cost of the Council.

5. The information on the Contracts Register (supplier name and postcode) will enable you to find information on the supplier's publicly available contact details. We would not be able to provide the contact details provided to us under GDPR as this would be outside the purpose the information was given to us.
