I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I am seeking details relating to the assessment frameworks, models, or tools used within your Children's Services department to assess parenting capacity. Specifically, I would be grateful if you could provide the following:
1. Assessment Tools, Models, and Frameworks
A list of the parenting assessment frameworks, models, or tools currently used by your local authority's Children's Services to assess parenting capacity. This may include, but is not limited to, tools used in statutory assessments, early help interventions, or court-directed parenting assessments.
2. Access to Materials
Where available, please provide electronic copies of these frameworks, models, or tools. If these are publicly available online, a link to the relevant resource will suffice.
3. Inclusion of Trauma and Adversity
Please confirm whether any of the assessment frameworks, models or tools you use explicitly include consideration of trauma, including adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) or other forms of adversity in the lives of parents.
4. Training and Implementation
Please provide information on any specific training you provide to staff on the use of these parenting assessment frameworks, models or tools.
5. Policy or Guidance Documents
Advise of and share where possible any internal policy or guidance documents that outline the approach your local authority takes to assessing parenting, including any trauma-informed practice principles that underpin this work.
6. Evaluation or Audit Reports
Any evaluation, audit, or internal review reports relating to the use or effectiveness of the parenting assessment tools, models or frameworks mentioned above. - Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.
1. We complete Children and Family Assessments which incorporates parenting capacity within the assessment. These assessments are completed at Early Help, Child in Need, Child Protection and Child in Care when considered necessary and appropriate to the journey of the child.
The LSCP policy and procedure manual has specific tools for workers to use for hoarding, neglect and Child Sexual Abuse pathway We also undertaken ParentAssess assessments which are licensed to a number of social workers and are completed when court directed, or considered appropriate by the Public Law Outline Case Manager.
