Policies for dealing with requests for information comply with Statute Law

1) Do Lincolnshire County Council's (LCC) policies for dealing with requests for information comply with Statute Law? I am specifically thinking of compliance with the Freedom of Information Act.

2) Secondly, have LCC employees received the appropriate training to allow LCC to discharge its vicarious liability under the FOI Act?

1) Our Freedom of Information Policy can be found online here https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/council-councillors/freedom-information. The policy has been written using guidance provided by the Information Commissioners Office and helps us to meet our legal obligations.

2) All employees receive annual information assurance training which includes a module on the Freedom of Information Act 2000. In addition, all employees have access to professional support and guidance offered by our Information Assurance Team, and Legal Services Team.
