Ukrainian refugees which have been recorded as still living in Lincolnshire 2025

I'm writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to find out the number of Ukrainian refugees which have been recorded as still living in Lincolnshire this year. 

 

1. Please can you provide your most recent figures regarding the number of Ukrainian refugees which have been recorded as living in Lincolnshire this year and also the number of Ukrainian refugees which were recorded as living in Lincolnshire when the war began back in 2022. 

 

2. Please can you provide this information in a table format showing the number of recorded Ukrainian refugees in Lincolnshire in 2022 and how many there are now in 2025. 

1. Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) has interpreted "Ukrainian refugees" as meaning any person holding a Homes For Ukraine visa, a Ukraine Family Scheme visa, a Ukraine Extension Scheme visa - or any one of those people who has subsequently been granted a Ukraine Permission Extension scheme visa. When the war began on 24 February 2022 there were 0 Ukrainian refugees living in Lincolnshire.

As at 21 August 2025 LCC is aware of 1,062 Ukrainian refugees living in Lincolnshire. These are predominantly Homes for Ukraine visa holders (or ex-HFU visa holders who now hold Ukraine Permission Extension visas). Local authorities are not always informed when Homes for Ukraine visa holders move in/out of our area so this figure is the people LCC is aware of. Local authorities are not given any information about Ukraine Family Scheme visa holders or Ukraine Extension Scheme holders (or UFS/UES guests who have now been granted UPE visas) - there will be some people in these categories in Lincolnshire but LCC cannot quantify them.
