Demand for Family Assessment Centres

Please could you provide me with the following information relating to family assessment centres within your local authority area:

1. The current level of demand for family assessment centres (e.g., number of referrals or assessments requested over the past 12 months).

2. Whether there is currently a waiting list for family assessment centres, and if so, the number of families or individuals currently on the waiting list and the average waiting time.

3. The total number of placements made in family assessment centres during the calendar year 2024.

4. The number of placements that were needed but could not be fulfilled in 2024, along with the reasons if recorded (e.g., lack of capacity, provider availability).

5. A list of all providers of family assessment centres that your authority commissions, contracts with, or refers families to.

6. Whether any in-home residential parenting assessments (also known as outreach or community-based assessments) have been commissioned or arranged during 2024, and if so, who the providers are.
