Practice of Restraint, Single Separation, Self Harm and the Handling of Complaint

I'm writing to request, under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), information relating to the practice of restraint, single separation, self harm and the handling of complaints at Lincolnshire Secure Unit.



1) Please provide the number of times a child/young person held at Lincolnshire Secure Unit has been subjected to single separation over the past three years to 01/04/2025, giving a total number for each year.



2) As part of the same table, please provide the number of times a child/young person was subjected to single separation for 12 hours or longer over the same time period, giving a total number for each year.



3) As part of the same table, please provide the number of times a child/young person was subjected to single separation for 24 hours or longer over the same time period, giving a total number for each year.



4) Please provide a record of injuries resulting from incidents of physical restraint on children at Lincolnshire Secure Unit over the same time period.



5) Please provide a table that shows the number of children who self harmed in Lincolnshire Secure Unit over the past five years to July 2025, giving an annual total for each year.



5b) As part of the same table, next to the total for the number of children who self harmed, please provide an annual total for the number of recorded incidents of self harm for each year to July 2025.
