Documents at Lincolnshire Archives

RE: Documents at Lincolnshire Archives Please provide me with the following information:

A) All information relating to the deposit of probate records that have been deposited at Lincolnshire Archives from any current or former District Probate Registry.

If the original paperwork completed upon deposit is held, please provide a copy of this.

B) If not covered under (A) above, please provide any information held relating to the conditions of the deposit and whether or not the depositor still maintains custody or control over the deposited records.

C) Please provide any information held, if not covered in (A) and (B) above, that might help answer the question of whether or not the High Court maintains control over the deposited records. If any of the deposited records, or parts of them, are still under the control of the High Court, please provide the document references and any other relevant information.

To help you answer this request, I understand that Lincolnshire Archives holds documents that were formally held by Lincoln District Probate Registry. This includes, but may not be limited to: Registers of copy wills, 1858-1941

As such, this information is exempt from disclosure in accordance with the exemption set out at Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which provides that a public authority need not comply with a request for disclosure under the Act where that information is reasonably accessible by other means.
