The road should be available to all and this discriminates against certain sections of

society, especially those who are less able to walk far. Some who have physical

disabilities and for them an MPV is the only way to access the countryside further

than a few hundred meters from the tarmac.

Ordinarily this would be the aim but the level of use and damage by MPVs adversely

impacts the use by other users. We consider that the most appropriate solution for

the public at large is to restrict the use of this lane for vehicles.

Disabled people using normal mobility equipment will be able to use the lane much

more easily through the barriers and repaired surface.
