4) The Local Authority itself does not have a specific definition of what constitutes a 'therapeutic residential children's home'. Referrals for placements in residential children's homes are individualised to the child itself and suppliers are asked to demonstrate how they can best meet needs. The individual referral may vary in terms of the amount of therapeutic input required. It is expected that, to a degree, all homes will have a level of therapeutic input - the level and nature required will be determined by the individual referral. The information above therefore refers to all placements during the period requested - it can be inferred that the level of therapeutic input required into the lowest and highest priced placements (Q2 above) will be from low to high.

5) Each placement varies, however, therapeutic input, therapies, clinical oversight, education, and staffing are the main services included.
