Please note that some surveys were designed for targeted audiences and therefore involved smaller sample sizes.
The list above includes publicly accessible engagement and consultation projects. In addition, the council undertakes targeted engagement activities that are not open to the public, as well as staff engagement initiatives, service-specific customer feedback, and consultations related to Traffic Regulation Orders or planning.
During the specified period, the council held 10 Citizens’ Panel meetings in March and April 2023, involving a total of 30 attendees. These sessions were delivered through a mix of face-to-face and virtual formats and formed part of the council’s targeted engagement activities, separate from publicly accessible consultations. This activity also included 87 responses received via online and postal feedback from the wider panel group.
Additionally, many of the council’s engagement activities feature a face-to-face element, such as public events, drop-ins, and workshops, which offer opportunities for direct interaction and feedback.
The council has an in-house engagement team and does not routinely contract out surveys or consultations.

4-5. Use of findings and consultation and engagement spend
The information you are requesting is not consistently recorded in a structured format and determining whether we hold the information; finding the requested information if held; and retrieving the information over the requested period, would require an extensive search across different service areas and systems.
We are of the view this is not feasible within reasonable time constraints and estimated that it would take over the 18 hours of manual effort. To locate final reports, cross-reference findings with decision reports findings, and estimate spend would take approximately 106 hours (75 mins x 85). As such we are claiming the exemption set out at Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, which states that a public authority is not obliged to respond to a request where the cost of doing so would exceed the appropriate limit. For local authorities the appropriate limit is set at £450, which equate to 18 hours of officer time charged at £25 per hour.
