Changing Special Conditions Process

Please provide the following:



1 - information on the process managers are required to undergo when changing special conditions that are already in place on an employees contract of employment.



2 - the number of times special conditions have been changed in the last three years.
 

Decision

Upon review, I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the updated information that is being released to you. 

 

1. The process of changing contract special conditions involves engaging with the employee group who have the special condition in their contract to seek their agreement to make change. If agreement is not sought through engagement, then a period of consultation will be initiated.

 

If the Council seeks to change terms and conditions of employment, it will engage and consult with affected employees. Where agreement cannot be reached—either collectively or individually—the Council may end the current contract and rehire those employees who are not in agreement on the new terms.

 

 

2. Special conditions are reviewed as and when required in line with operational and service need.
