The following request relates to services for adults with learning disabilities, autism and enduring mental health. Your current Community Supported Living framework contract includes clause 5.4.2 that states: 'Where an individual is assessed through the Mental Capacity Act Assessment as lacking the mental capacity to manage his or her own finances and there is no family member or other family member or other person in the community suitable to fulfil the role, the provider will be expected to act as Appointee for the receipt and management of welfare benefits for the Individual'.
1. Please confirm how many providers act as an appointee for people in supported living services?
2.How many individuals who have LCC commissioned supported living packages are currently using their care and support provider as their appointee?
3. By contrast, please confirm how many residential providers for these cohorts are acting as an appointee for Service Users; and how many individuals who have LCC commissioned residential care packages are currently using their residential proivder as their appointee?
4. In respect of your current Community Supported Living framework, please confirm how many (number) commissioned packages are funded by LPFT, and what % this is of the total currently commissioned packages under this framework. - Decision
