Regarding: Lincoln's Titanic Bridge - Spa Road to Waterside South From FOI requests 13746521 and 13905894, I can see that Lincolnshire County Council had NO information about maintenance of Lincoln's Titanic Bridge.
Having discussed this with several people, the question has arisen, as to whether Lincolnshire County Council is INDIRECTLY paying towards the upkeep of Lincoln's Titanic Bridge.
This could be through rent to an owner (or owners) of the bridge or through service charges. On 21st October, Hamish Falconer MP wrote the attached email that is largely about funding Lincoln's Titanic Bridge. In this email he mention's Lincolnshire County Council three times. He says that Lincolnshire County Council is: - a tenant at Beech House - an occupier of Witham Park House - an occupier of Oak House Questions:
1) I would like to know if Lincolnshire County Council has been paying anything (rent or other payments) for the use of: a) Beech House? b) Witham Park House? c) Oak House?
2) If so, how much have LCC paid for any/each of these in each of these financial years, please making it clear to which business(es)/organisation(s) this money was paid to in each year:
2019-2020
2020-2021
2021-2022
2022-2023
2023-2024
2024-2025
3) For each payment made for the use of the buildings mentioned above, for each financial year above, how much (in % or £) was (as service charges perhaps) in any way, related to the maintenance of Lincoln's Titanic Bridge?
- Decision
-
1). a) Beech House - No
b) Witham Park House - No
c) Oak House - LCC pays a service contribution to its landlord towards the maintenance of the bridge. There have been one or two other payments described below. No other regular payments have been made to the landlord as the Council’s rent is a nominal “peppercorn”.
2) 2021-2022 - £1,890 paid to ESR Europe Investment Management Limited
2022-2023 – A sum of £634 was paid to paid to RR UK (South) Ltd entitled Actuarial and Other Expenses and Building Rents
2023-2024 – none
2024-2025 – £36,200.29p paid to ESR Europe Investment Management Limited as a service charge contribution to maintain Titanic Bridge
3) Please see detailed breakdown above.
