What is the most up-to-date situation regarding the processing of PL/0016/25?

1. Have the staff employed by LCC to deal with planning applications received appropriate training to deal with planning applications?
2. If the staff have not received the relevant training, why not? If they have, please provide full details in accordance with the Data Protection Act; names may be redacted.
3. What is the total amount of public funds expended to date on processing an application

We have extracted the parts of the request we consider are valid requests under the Act and we have applied our response against each below.

Please clarify the current position of this application.

The application status is ‘out for consultation’ which expires on the 20th December 2025. It is currently scheduled to be presented to Committee on the 13 February 2026

All staff at LCC, irrespective of their job role, are supported with appropriate training and development.

2. If the staff have not received the relevant training, why not? If they have, please provide full details in accordance with the Data Protection Act; names may be redacted.

We consider it is not lawful to disclose an employee’s academic or professional training status. We are withholding this information as permitted by Regulation 13 EIR

3. What is the total amount of public funds expended to date on processing an application

This is routinely carried out by our planning Officers as part of their role. This amounts to funds incorporated within an Officers salary. We do not record an exact amount or set aside an amount for a planning application.
