Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

I am writing to formally request information under the Freedom of Information Act regarding Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for individuals aged 18 to 25 with Special Educational Needs. Specifically, I would like to obtain the following details:

1) The number of Special Educational Needs individuals within this age group whose EHCPs have been ceased under the 'cease to maintain' option from 2020 to 2025, inclusive. Please provide the figures broken down by each year and specific age group (18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25).

a) The reasons provided for the cessation of these EHCPs.

b) The total number of appeals lodged against the cease to maintain decisions.

c) The number of appeals that were upheld by the Tribunal.

d) Whether the local authority withdrew any cease to maintain orders during the appeals process. If so, please specify how many were withdrawn and at what stage of the proceedings this occurred.
