Taxi contracts

1) Under the FOI Act, I would like from your council the number of taxi contracts that are paid for to transport children to school and the cost of each of them.

2) FE costs are also required please.

1-2) Between 01 May 2025 and 30 January 2026, there have been 2615 contracts* recorded as spend which indicates a Taxi. £28.552M payments have been confirmed (meaning that invoices have been received and paid) and £4.915M~ is showing as predicted (meaning payments are outstanding).

*Not all contracts have run during the whole of the requested period.

Only 669 of these contracts were operated during the whole period at a cost of £18.232M

~Contracts are paid in arrears, therefore no contracts have yet been paid for January 2026, which accounts for the majority of this amount.
