Short Breaks provision

Please may I make the following FOI request regarding Children's social care:

(1) Please provide the name(s), email(s), and telephone number(s) of the individual(s) responsible for Short Breaks provision 

(2) Do you provide grants or direct payments for Short Breaks provision?

(2a) If so, how are they paid, e.g. bank accounts, prepaid cards, eWallets

(2b) If not, are there any plans to provide grants or direct payments in the future?

(3) Do you use on-line digital solutions to assist with the application, awarding and management of Short Breaks?

(3a) If so, who is the provider and when is the contract due to expire?

(3b) If not, are you considering using digital solutions to manage and oversee your Short Breaks?

(4) Please provide the name(s), email(s), and telephone number(s) of the individual(s) responsible for personal budgets for education provision,

e.g. SEND and EOTAS 

(4a) Does the LA work contract with or recommend external direct payment support services and with which organisations?

(4b) If yes, what services do they provide?

(4c) When is the contract due to expire?

 (5) Who oversees the management of personal budgets and direct payments for children/families and what are their contact details? - i.e. name(s),email?  

 (6) How does the council pay direct payments, i.e. bank accounts, pre-paid cards or eWallets?

 (7) If the council uses pre-paid cards or eWallet solutions,

(7b) when is the contract due to expire?

 (8) Who is the Director of Children's Services at the council and please provide their title, name and email address?

 (9) Who is the Assistant Director of Children's Services at the council and please provide their title, name and email address?

2) Short breaks provision is provided in a variety of ways this can be through a Direct payment, commissioned service or through an overnight short break at in house provision (there are 2)

6) There are three options for children for payment method, bank account solely for the purpose of a Direct Payment, Penderels Trust LTD managed account or Prepaid card.

7a) Allpay LTD is the prepaid card provider

b) Pre Paid Cards contract has a current expiry date of 31/03/2026
