Looked After Children or Care Leavers

Please provide the following information in relation to placements made by the council with:

Woodland Initiative Ltd (Ofsted URN 2763651), and Serenity Woodlands Ltd (Companies House no. 16327529), which offers similar supported accommodation services.



(1) Placements

Since 1 June 2024, has the council placed any looked-after children or care leavers aged

16 or 17 with either:

1a) Woodland Initiative Ltd, and/or

1b) Serenity Woodlands Ltd?



2) If yes for either provider, please provide for each provider:

2a) the number of children placed,

2b) the start and end dates of each placement (month/year is sufficient if necessary),

2c) whether any placements remained active after 6 October 2025 (the start of Ofsted's full inspection of Woodland Initiative Ltd), and

2d) whether the council currently uses either provider for placements.



3) Decision-making and due diligence

For each provider, please provide details of the council's due diligence/assurance processes, including (where held):

3a) the placement approval pathway (e.g., panel/manager sign-off),

3b) any risk assessment or quality assurance checks undertaken before placement, and

3c) any review or reassessment undertaken following Ofsted's findings at Woodland Initiative Ltd in October 2025.
