(1) For your local authority area can you confirm who provides your community equipment service? 

If outsourced, how long is the provider contracted for? 



(2) Are riser recliner armchairs available through your community equipment service?

Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. 

 

 (1) Publicly available information (Millbrook Healthcare, 3 years direct award)

(2) No not as a standard contract item. If the individual meets the eligibility criteria a non-contract special is assessed for and request form is sent to the NCS panel for discussion
(2a) Guidance is currently being reviewed - enabling independence to prevent further moving and handling equipment being needed and/or prevent/reduce formal care costs or need for informal care.
(2b) on the individuals needs. Accora is preferred supplier due to the modular aspect of their Comfort chair and the recyclability.
(2c) Unable to state - Depends on the OT waiting list and the individuals circumstances.

(4) Seating will be considered as part of an OT assessment if appropriate - cannot distinguish these cases from our service data.

(5)  If the individual does not meet our criteria, advice will be given regarding self-purchase or possible charitable funding.
