Lincolnshire County Council has diverted the original public footpath linking Two Plank lane Spalding with the junction of Blue Gowt lane and Blue Gowt drove Pinchbeck.

1) Please send me a copy of the PFDO obtained to divert this footway.

1. The council was not required to obtain approval to divert the footway (specified under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980) and obtain a Public Path Diversion Order as this is not recorded as a Public Right of Way.

The route is not a ‘public right of way’ and this has been confirmed by our Public Rights of Way Team.  Therefore, the Council was not required to have a Public Path Diversion Order (PPDO) under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 to close the route for construction works.
