What to do

Unused pet food can go in your food waste caddy, as long as it has been removed from all packaging.

Please note, only certain types of pet food are accepted. The anaerobic digestion facility can process category 3 (and lower) animal by-products. Pet food such as mice for snakes and other reptiles are classed as category 2 animal by-products and cannot be placed in your caddy.
