I'm writing as a Lincolnshire resident as I'm aware that many pupils, particularly those with additional needs, may be travelling significant distances to access suitable schools.
I would like to better understand how this is affecting transport arrangements.
For the period from 1 May 2024 to the present date, please confirm:
1) The number of pupils receiving home-to-school transport who are travelling outside their local area (please define 'local' as used by the council).
2) The average and maximum distance travelled by pupils receiving council-funded transport.
3) The number of pupils transported via taxi or individual transport arrangements.
4) The number of transport routes or arrangements that have been put in place due to a lack of available places at nearer schools.
5) Any internal reports or summaries assessing the impact of distance and rurality on school transport costs.
