Following investigations at the above mentioned location it was found that during peak school drop off/pick up times there are vehicles parked/waiting in the school safety zone reducing the safety around the school, nearby junctions and the bus stand.

The introduction of a formal Traffic Regulation Order will discourage parking/waiting on the no loading markings and enable civil parking enforcement officers to issue Penalty Charge Notices where appropriate.

The proposals will facilitate traffic flow, ensure all accesses are kept clear, improve the safety and visibility for pedestrians as well as improving visibility and road safety for all users.

Therefore, it is proposed to prohibit waiting as set out on the plans to the Order.

The Chief Constable, Thornton le Fen Parish Council and East Lindsey District Council have been consulted, along with other local groups/companies.
