I would like to make a freedom of information request regarding council road signage.
This week on the stretch of road 'A6121' between the village of Toft and the junction with the 'A151' numerous signs have been erected, speed reductions, warnings etc. Mostly if not all relating to the ongoing Anglian water works being carried out and central around the depot at Lound. These works were begun over three years ago and have been managed by temporary signage and Traffic Management Order’s (TMO's) where necessary. It is remarkable to many of the local parishioner's as to why this signage has been erected now given that the works are now completed and the date for final completion being early Summer 2026.
I would like to request the following information;
1) When was the decision to install the signage requested and then agreed/made?
2) How much did the planning, site investigation and installation of the signage (I believe 13 in total) cost?
3) When (as they relate to temporary works) is it intended that the signage be removed and the pre existing speed limit of 60mph be reinstated?
4) Why was there no local notification/planning application made or any consultation with the local Parish council or residents?

1. A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order for a reduced speed limit was submitted to Lincolnshire County Council by Anglian Water on 22/08/2025, approval was given on 12/09/2025.
2. No cost to Lincolnshire County Council, all costs borne by Anglian Water.
3. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is for a 18 month duration from 19/11/2025 to 19/5/2027. However the approval has been conditioned that as soon as the vehicular movements from the depot have ceased, the temporary limit is removed.
4. This is a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order therefore no consultations are carried out with Parish Councils or residents.
