Adoption Support Information

Adoption support in Lincolnshire for 2025/26 (01/04/25 to 31/03/26)



I am requesting the following information relating to adoption support in Lincolnshire for the financial year 2025/26:

1) The total amount of funding received from the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF, previously ASF) each year

2) The number of families / adopters supported through the ASGSF each year.

3) The total amount spent from the ASGSF each year.

4) The average spend per family from the ASGSF each year.

5) Details of any additional local authority budgets or 'other pots' of money used to provide adoption support services, including the total amounts allocated or spent each year.

6) Any internal policies, guidance, or decision-making documents that set out when or how discretionary local budgets may be used to support adoptees, beyond the ASGSF.

I am requesting anonymised, aggregated data only ' no personal data of service users.
 

1) £1,156,685.80

2) There were 404 individual children who benefitted from ASF funding

5) No formal budget but discretionary payments considered on case by case basis. The adoption service is funded by the local authority to provide comprehensive adoption support services.

The local authority provides a range of therapeutic services some of which is able to claim from the ASGSF. Funds in this year have been invested back into support services that benefit children and families who hold an adoption order, SGO or Child arrangement order. 

6) Any internal policies, guidance, or decision-making documents that set out when or how discretionary local budgets may be used to support adoptees, beyond the ASGSF.
