Lincolnshire County Council recently received a request to review the waiting restrictions at the above location.

Currently on Clasketgate and Silver Street there is a dual bay that allows limited waiting Monday – Saturday 8am-6pm for 30 minutes and a taxi rank between the hours of 6pm – 8am.

Licensed taxis operate continuously throughout the day and there is presently no designated area within the city centre for them to carry out this service during daytime hours. To facilitate this, it is proposed to change these dual bays to No stopping at any time except taxis which will remove the limited waiting restriction.

Therefore, it is proposed to prohibit waiting as set out on the plans to the Order. 

The Chief Constable, City of Lincoln Council have been consulted, along with other local groups/companies.
